"We had a nice two night stay at the hotel in a compact double. It was definitely compact with just enough room to move round the bed but that was okay. Maybe if they removed the bath fro the shower room and had just the shower it would make more room. "I’ve stayed here a couple of times in recent weeks. The location is fantastic. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I’ve had two different rooms - both much larger than your average double room, only difference seemingly between privilege and “standard” rooms being the size of the TV and slightly larger bed. Nice to have both a shower and bath (separate). Very good value for money especially given the access to a proper gym. "

"It's great that old Hotels like this exist and Crowne have taken on its custody. However, a basic tenant of a hotel is that guests can get some sleep. In the case of this hotel it is severely impacted by the noise from the always busy dual carriage next to the property which the old sash windows cannot keep out.
