"The pool was a little greasy from the sun screen, I assume. Room was a little loud from the street. I used ear plugs. The only thing I can suggest adding is have more water stations to fill the bottles. Were a little hard to find. All around great place."

"I was in the privilege section and our butler barely responded to us while we were there. We had a balcony which we couldn’t fully enjoy because they had a huge pile of sargassum outside of it. Ordering food for room service almost always had missing items. When they cleaned (once during our week stay) our room they didn’t change the sheets so it had sand in it. When we tried to get an uber to the airport the taxi drivers that are with the company the hotel uses started threatening and...

"We stayed for 5 nights. Overall, the hotel was good and offered the usual amenities found at other resorts in the area. However, a few things need improvement to make it a higher-quality experience:
1. Food quality: The food at both the buffets and restaurants was average. We tried five different specialty restaurants, all beautifully designed, but the food quality was disappointing.
2. Unpleasant smell: There was a bad sewage-like smell throughout the hotel, which seemed to be an ongoing hotel...

"All restaurants we tried (Azul, Cocina de Autor, Piaf, Chaká, Lucca) were excellent, better than anything else we have tried in Cancun, and certainly at the top compared to all the other resorts and restaurants we have eaten in around the world.
If you are looking for an uncrowded resort with excellent food and don't mind paying for it, then consider the Gran Velas.
There is a lack of sports activities for adults, but I think this is fine as long as you come with this understanding."
