"Good things first. The staff are lovely. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. The proximity to a nice family beach is a 2 min walk away. The bad. Over priced. Both airconditioners didn't work. Bad smells from blocked drains and there is a building site right next door. Jack hammers and noisy 3 out of 7 days. Cant stay in room. Also taxi ride to main tourist strip."

"This resort is a 10/10! From the moment we stepped into the resort we were met with nothing but smiles and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Our concierge Julia, was an absolute dream! The most helpful, thoughtful and kind woman. The food was amazing, the Tokimeku (hibachi) and Blue Agave were amazing! The facilities are gorgeous, including 2 Nespresso cafes!"

"Great option if you’re staying in the Zazil-Ha location of PDC. I loved my stay here. Person at the front desk 24/7. Rooftop pool and ocean view is tomorrow. I used the gym most days that I was here and loved that I was able to keep up with my workouts. Room has a nice little kitchen; I used the blender provided to make smoothies and juices in the am. Close to the action but peaceful and quiet. Jacob, one of the front-desk attendants was extremely helpful and kind. He’s the best! I’ll probably...

"I’ve been to Akumal & Playa Blanca secrets.. this ranks last in our list. The property seemed worn down, food quality was not a good as the other secrets, and overall the service was very slow at any restaurant we dined in. Probably will not return to this property. When you’ve been to other high quality resorts.. you kinda expect almost the same experience."
