"The resort was beautiful, and the dining, although not perfect, was the best I’ve experienced, and I’ve stayed at many all inclusive resorts. The only negatives would be the rooms - the furniture is getting old and abused, including the sofas and mattresses, and the musty smell was strong. "Mahekal is a very nice property directly on the beach and convenient to Playa del Carmen. One of the restaurants was closed (possibly due to lower off-season tourism), but it’s higher-end Fuego restaurant was excellent! The property is quiet unless your room is near the Las Olas restaurant, which plays music starting at 7:00 am. This was the only disappointment during our stay."

"The staff makes all the difference! The place is beautiful and service is excellent.hey were all so nice helping us with bug smile!
