"Loved our stay here, the place is beautiful, lots of different food. The beach has lots of seaweed but the hotel had people cleaning it up. The beach was nice but it is very rocky, definitely recommend water shoes!"

"My wife and I go to at least 1 all inclusive resort a year and we've tried all the major brands ... Ocean does their resort a little different but it has it's ups and downs like any other resort. The UPs are the resort is clean and well maintained and our room was recently refurbed and had all the amentities that you want/need and more. Our walkout to the pool and waterpark was a nice plus! Our kids loved seeing all the animals! Restaurants were all good with some things being better than others but lots of options and never went hungry! Route 66 is a must! Their a la carte reservation/or lack their off (FCFS) is a little different but managable. The coffee shop, crapperie and ice cream shop are also all nice extras some resorts lack! The DOWNs would be lack of towel stations near the beach, beach restaurant should just be a buffet and the beach itself is very rocky and el natural! Not for everybody for sure and the pools were very cold also! So if you really love being at the beach all day ... pick another resort! "

"Property and staff were very pleasant food was very good. Room was clean and fresh. Ocean sea weed is a bit of an issue. Travel from airport to resort was not a good experience. Paid extra for private service that was to be there at arrival. Ha a 40 minute wait and had to share ride with three other people with stops at their resort. Ride back to airport on departure was good though."

"This is not the adults-only experience younger travelers might expect. The resort feels more geared toward seniors and has a very quiet, low-energy atmosphere. If you’re looking for a lively, child-free getaway, this may not be the right place for you. The food was also very disappointing. I’m not a picky eater, but the quality was far below what I would expect from a 5-star resort. I’ve stayed at 4-star resorts with much better food. To make matters worse, there was ongoing construction in two buildings — one near the main lobby and amenities, and one close to our room. We were not informed in advance and paid full price. The daily noise from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. made it hard to relax. Overall, I would not recommend staying here and suggest looking at other options."

"Unfortunately the ocean view was blocked by bushes. They said these bushes were part of the ecology. That said the beach chairs, which did not have covers and were not the same height, were not high wnough to see over the bushes. It really makes no sense to pay for a private ocean view that is not as good as the public view. "

"Went on a girls’ trip to celebrate my friend’s 40th. Hotel property was beautiful, rooms clean, and e-concierge was helpful with decorating her room and making spa reservations. Spa experience was great! Night shows were good. Reserving airport transportation through the hotel provider worked out great. My flight to Cancun was delayed and that was not an issue. A taxi to Playa de Carmen was about 400-500 pesos, not bad for a group that wants to go into town. Cons: There were mosquitos in the rooms when we arrived and although the room was “treated” after our arrival, there were still some mosquitoes and you could hear them at night when sleeping. Main complaint was the food experience. The four of us were disappointed with the quality/options and the lack of Mexican options (no enchiladas or pozole). I will note that we come from San Diego and have stayed at other Hyatt all inclusive hotels with better quality food. Also, some waiters were enthusiastic and helpful and others seemed almost bothered that we asked questions or for recommendations. Pic of view from room."

"Property is clean, but very outdated. Housekeeping only cleaned our room once and we were there for 4 days. Staff was very accommodating and nice! Food I would say below average! Comparing to other resorts in the area! But you’re getting what you pay for! "
