"To Expedia Executive Relations & Hotel Corporate Management, I am formally escalating a complaint regarding my recent stay booked through Expedia at the Platinum Yucatán Princess Adults Only resort. This experience was unacceptable from both a hospitality and consumer protection standpoint and significantly impacted what was meant to be a milestone occasion—my wife’s birthday and her first visit to Mexico. The issues encountered include, but are not limited to: Filthy stairwell conditions that remained unresolved throughout the stay A room delivered in an unsanitary state at check-in (urine on bathroom surfaces, trash in closet) Refusal by staff to provide a new room, requiring us to wait for cleaning Repeated neglect of requests for basic necessities (towels, toiletries) Consistently poor room service, including cold food on three occasions Food safety concerns (bones found in chicken dishes such as tacos and tostadas) These issues were reported both to hotel staff and the on-site Expedia representative, with no meaningful resolution provided. This situation reflects a failure of duty of care, misrepresentation of accommodations, and a breakdown in service standards expected from both the property and Expedia as the booking platform. As a federal employee and service veteran, I approach situations like this with professionalism, patience, and a high standard for accountability. I do not make complaints lightly. "

"A True 5 Star resort. We (2 Adults and Twin Kids of 3.5 Yrs.) stayed for 9 days (8 nights) in The Grand and had an amazing time. The hotel is very clean. The food is overall good and the drinks are great. This was one of the resorts when you truly had the feeling the staff enjoyed working there something we did not always experience in other five star resorts. Genuinely nice warm people. The concierge was very helpful and communication went flawless. "

"Truly enjoyed the Fairmont. Beautiful property, great food at the pool restaurant. Friendly staff there as well. One big frustration was the totally unreliable staff at the reception/golf cart transportation on site: several times we were told: a driver is on the way, will be there or told by a driver “justifying around there back in a minute” without anyone ever showing up afterwards. "Let me start with the positives. The staff are absolutely great. They are happy, gracious and, responsive and overall make for a very pleasant atmosphere. The food is phenomenal. From basic nachos and burgers, if that's what you feel like, to elevated breakfast and lunch, to top notch star-level dinners. If you're looking for quiet and privacy, with under 200 rooms, this is the place. There are no late night parties. Solo travelers, were left alone by others - unless they wanted to engage. There is wildlife to see, coatis, raccoons a few iguanas and some crocodiles (which are NOT a danger to humans). There are some things that are entirely out of the control of the resort and the staff. The resort itself is built on a swampy area so in places there is that swampy smell. It's not by any of the rooms, only along the path between the Ambar restaurant and the beach-side complex. Quintana Roo's sargassum problem is managed as best as it can be at this resort. It's being raked away all day, every day. Unfortunately, neighboring properties don't do as much, or some (ANY) clean-up efforts, making for putrid smelling walks along the beach if you venture off property. Again - the Blue Diamond beach is cleared. Unfortunately, along with the extraordinary positives, there are negatives. Each on their own would not be that big a deal, but compounded, they add up to an underwhelming experience. Blue Bay, which owns the property, have not been putting enough "
